From the classroom to the boardroom, Joel has spent his career thinking about how stories—beautiful, jarring, hilarious, tragic—change people’s hearts, minds, behaviors, and spending habits.

Before starting Anderson Strategy, he taught writing and literature at Smith College and UMass Amherst, led a university-wide marketing and communication office, and served as VP of strategy at a marketing agency.
